About me
Hello, my name is Katie and I have a real passion for all things pets. I am fully DBS checked and have full insurance coverage. I recently completed a course with the Dog Grooming Academy Leeds to be a qualified groomer. When I worked full time, I struggled myself with caring for my dog whilst I was working and decided to start Broadleaves. I started my business in January 2024 and expanded with a home based dog grooming studio from September 2024.
I have a Labradoodle at home who I adore and I love looking after everyday. When I was little, I would say when I grew up I wanted to work at the Dogs Trust or with the RSPCA.
My favourite walking locations

Brayton Barff
The Brayton Barff is a great loop for a good walk and sniff about. There are a lot of opportunities for the dogs to socialise and explore in the multitude of different areas housed in the forest. The loop of the forest takes around 30-40 minutes and allows for a good explore throughout.

Barlow Common
The route around Barlow Common is the best for on lead walking. With a lot of ground to cover for curious investigators. The walks around here can be both long and short so it is an excellent location for a daily walk. It can be rather muddy in the winter months, however, in summer it is ideal.

Bishop Wood
The vast woodland at Bishop Wood is a fantastic opportunity to exercise and inspect the surroundings. With multiple different paths to take, this location is perfect for returning again and again. I love taking Herbert to Bishop Wood as there is a lot around to stimulate him, especially in the summer months.
